Not a Prime Member? Get the Free Trial, It Works Too
Only Amazon Prime members get access to Prime Day. However, you can get access with the free trial. It’s okay to sign up on either Oct 13th or 14th, you still get access and the benefits. Then within those 30 days you have the option to continue or cancel the subscription. If you don’t, you’ll get charged so mark your calendar if this is especially important to you. We on & off have Amazon Prime, and I can tell you that it is reassuring around the holidays with family that are hundreds of miles away.

All products listed here are CGM, but not everything from each brand listed is….CGM (example: R+Co has several Prime Day deals , but only a handful of the products are CGM approved/wavy hair approved). As I looked through deals, I noticed it was mostly “premium” brands with Prime Day deals. This list covers nearly all curly girl method products that are included in Amazon Prime Day (s)

Products to Avoid
Yes, I really am going to tell you to avoid products! This is really to encourage better hair health. If you really want one of these (or if it’s a gift) I’m not stopping you.
- “hot hair brushes” like the Revlon One Step Volumizer. Don’t be fooled, this is a damaging form of heat styling
- Premium heat styling tools. Yes, they are a great deal. But if you want to commit to quitting heat styling, then focus on products that help your hair, not harm the hair.
- “hair growth supplements” – Unless you completely know & trust the brand, I would NOT suggest purchasing the supplement.
Amazon “Climate Pledge Friendly” Hair Products
In 2020, Amazon created their own certification for what meets their “Climate Pledge Friendly” guidelines. According to Amazon, they accept any one of 19 different accredited sustainability certifications. Amazon also created their own certification for “Compact by Design” certified by Amazon. This certification requires shipping-optimized packaging instead of the “retail” packaging we would traditionally see on a store shelf.
Haircare Brands That are Amazon Climate Pledge Friendly AND Wavy Hair Method / CGM Approved as of Prime Day 2020
As you shop in Amazon, each item which meets the “Climate Pledge Friendly” program requirements says so in the description. You can see ALL haircare that meets this here. However that includes non CGM (or Wavy Hair Method).
Brands that meet Amazon’s requirement AND are sulfate-free, silicone-free include….
- Olaplex (#3)
- Aunt Jackie’s
- Love Beauty Planet
- Carol’s Daughter
Where to Get Updates on the BEST Deals
All Wavy Hair will check out Amazon throughout the day and update the best deals on the Facebook Page All Wavy Hair. We may add new deals on this page. We will not be monitoring deals the entire 48hrs, so be sure to bookmark this page.
There are a LOT of wavy hair products on the market (at least in the U.S.), and Amazon is a major distributor. So this is the Amazon guide to wavy hair products. I often have international readers reach out to me and asking, “I can’t find______, is there anything on Amazon you recommend?” so this is for everyone!
Some of my favorite brands aren’t on here, and I did include a few products I haven’t personally tried but have been vetted by others I personally know and trust. There are also a few wish list items.
Be sure to subscribe, because I will have lists for Ulta, Sephora, Walmart, Target and more on the way.
Honestly, Prime Day is meh for wavy hair sales and curly hair. It seems that Amazon Prime Day has always prioritized tech related items. In fact I ordered both my husband and I these Oral B Toothbrushes (one in each color so we don’t get mixed up!) for more than half off! But other than Amazon products, the deals seem to be on kind of random stuff. It’s not as bad as the first Prime Day (does anyone remember that?? I canceled my Prime back then BECAUSE of Prime Day that year.) Granted I was up at 2am writing this so maybe I’m just crabby.
