I love receiving emails from my readers and over the years I have been asked where I find free books. So I thought I’d share a quick tutorial for how you can find free books for your Kindle.
I have a secret . . . it’s super easy! And today, I’m going to share my little secret with you.

How to Find Free Books for Your Kindle
Here’s how it goes.
Begin by visiting to the Amazon Best Sellers page. Once there, you’ll see where to click for both the free Kindle books currently at the top of the list (this list is updated hourly), and then over to the left, where to click for the list of Kindle ebooks by category. Click on “Top 100 Free” first and peruse the Top 100 books currently available, and then “Kindle eBooks” next to further explore by category.

There are literally thousands of books available for free, but who has time to look through them all? If you look over on the left hand column, you’ll now see all of the different categories available. My thought is that if they are in the Top 100 list, hopefully they are the best Kindle has to offer currently, but I have been fooled once or twice. These lists are updated every hour, so check back often to see what’s available. And it’s always a good idea to read the reviews and look at previews whenever available.

Click around for the category that fits your needs most and take a look there also for what is available for free. These categories can be further explored with sub-categories. For example, if you click on “Children’s eBooks,” you’ll find more than 20 subcategories such as Action & Adventure, Biographies, Education & Reference, and Geography & Cultures.

As long as you know what you’re looking for it doesn’t really take that much time to look through and find books that will interest you.
Easy peasy, right?
What? You don’t have a Kindle? No problem. You can download the free Kindle app for your PC, Mac, iPad, or smart phone. Looking to purchase a Kindle, you can choose from simple Kindle eReaders to several different tablet options.
Happy hunting!
