GameStop is launching a Black Friday countdown sale that includes discounts on games and PC hardware. Most notably, the sale offers savings on several first-party Nintendo Switch games – the latest in a series of Black Friday deals we saw this week.
On Saturday, November 14th, Switch owners can win multiple games for $ 40. The list of discounted games includes:
- New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe
- Splatoon 2
- Super Mario Maker 2
- Yoshi’s designed world
- Fire sign: three houses
- The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening
- Luigi’s villa 3
- Mario tennis aces
Important 2020 titles such as Animal Crossing: New Horizons or Paper Mario: The Origami King, which will not be available for sale on Black Friday, are missing from the list.
While the Switch games will only be on sale for a day, customers will be able to take advantage of a number of offers from November 14-18. Borderlands 3, Fast & Furious Crossroads, and a Sims 4 bundle with the new Star Wars DLC pack are all available for $ 20. Other software highlights include Devil May Cry 5 and Hitman 2, both of which are only $ 15.
On the hardware side, GameStop offers big savings on gaming laptops and accessories. Customers can save $ 100 on select MSI gaming laptops and purchase exclusive mouse and mechanical RGB keyboard accessories for 50% off.
Super Smash Bros. purists can get the Nintendo Switch Fight Pad Pro controller (GameCube controller with various logos from Nintendo games) for $ 10.
The countdown sale is a teaser for GameStop’s real Black Friday sale. It includes discounts on the biggest games of 2020 like Marvel’s Avengers and Star Wars Squadrons. Players will also have the option to purchase a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X from the store during this sale, although GameStop states that inventory will be limited.
